The Bar

Although the lounge has its own fully stocked bar, Ashford House has a traditional Irish front bar in the classic style of high bar stools along a polished walnut wood bar, where many a good local yarn is retold. You might even be lucky enough to meet Matt, one of our many experienced barmen who celebrated 50 years behind Ashford House bar this year.

Here we offer a bar menu with snacks and quick meals through the day along with a full selection of Draught beers, lagers, ales and stouts. We offer a good selection of wonderful specialised Irish whiskeys and finest spirits, cocktails, wine selection, and long drinks. Along with the knowledge, training and experience required to give our customers the quality experience that is Ashford House.

Sports and entertainment are features of our front bar, with two high definition flat screen televisions with multi channel capability for every sporting event from Rugby to Racing (especially to cheer on a few of many local racehorses, trainers and jockeys). Our local international show jumping venue “Boswell Equestrian” often features on the Grand prix coverage.

We also have a pool table and dart board for your entertainment, and you never know when one of our many talented local musicians might break into a song.
